OEPEYSTER
Mrs. Mabel McNeill Beach, aged 27,
died at the hoapital In Middlebury,
Vt, Saturday night after an illness of
only a few days and her body arrived
here Monday for burial.
Mrs. Beach was the youngest daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. John McNeill of
this place and was a well known and
highly esteemed young woman having
lived in thie section all her life, with
the exception of the last three yeara
which were spent in Middlebury.
Besides her parents, she is survived
by her husband, Carl Beach of Middle
bury, one sister, Mra. D. Calnon of
this place and one brother, Grant W
McNeill of Rennselaer Falls.
Funeral services were held from the
home of ber parents at one o'clock this
afternoon, the Presbyterlan minister
officiating and burial made In the
Depeyster cemetery.

Grippe Fatal to McNeil, 82,
Retired Depeyster Farmer
John William McNeil. 82, a highly
respected retired farmer passed
away at his home where he had
resided for many years. Saturday
noon, following an illness of two,
weeka with pippe Mr. McNeil)Mrs
was born in Oswegatchie, Dec. 4,
1857, the son of Robert and Ann
Barber McNeil In 1881 he married
Miss Martha Havens of Oawegatchie.
Three children were
born to the union, Mrs. Daniel
Calnon, who resides on the farm
home, Mabel, who became the
wife of Carl Beach and who pass-
ed away several years ago; and
Grant McNeil of Gouverneur. Al-
so five grandchildren, four great-
grandchildren. Funeral services
were held Monday at the home,
with Rev. A. G. Bowering of Heu-
velton Presbyterian Church offici-
ating. Burial was in Hillcrest
cemetery, Heuvelton. The bearers
were: Supervisor Herbert N.
Holland, Loren Wilson, Simon
Fox, Charles Perry, Harlow Jack-
son, and F. L. Kinney.
