Irene Reynolds Shanahan, 95, of Syracuse, died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at St. Camillus. Irene was born in Buffalo but resided in Syracuse most of her life. She worked at E.W. Edwards and Son Department Store and then at St. Camillus. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward and granddaughter, Megan. She is survived by her children, Michael J. (Arlene), Mary Losurdo (Peter), Patricia Novak (Thomas), Joseph and Kathleen Oaten (Phillip); 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday, Sept. 8 at noon at St. James Church, S. Salina St. Calling hours will be on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edward J. Ryan and Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

Joseph E. Shanahan 1948– 2018
Megan Marie Shanahan, 22-month-old daughter of Joseph E. and Laura Johnstone Shanahan of 225 Lilac St., died yesterday in State University Hospital.
Surviving besides her parents are her paternal grandmother, Irene Shanahan; her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Johnstone of Plainsboro, N.J.; and an aunt, Jinx Johnstone of Camillus.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
Edward J. Ryan & Son, Inc., Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
