Paul Amundson

Requiem mass was held for Paul Amundson, 61, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Burial followed Mass Monday in Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
Paul Amundson was born Nov. 15, 1896 to Peter and Lorenz Amundson at Aitkin, Minn. He attended school at Aitkin and grew to manhood there, enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1918. He served in the Ordnance Department. Mr. Amundson received his discharge in 1919 and returned to Minnesota. In 1926 he came to Trego and later married Eva Mae Kinshella on Nov. 26, 1927 at Eureka. Mr. Amundson and wife came to the Flathead area where they made their home until moving to Kalispell 13 years ago. They had resided here since. He was a member of the Whitefish Lodge 642, Loyal Order of the Moose.
Surviving Mr. Amundson are his wife, Eva, at the family home in Kalispell; one son Paul Jr., also at the family home; one daughter, Mrs. Louise Hodgson of Almogordo, New Mexico; three brothers, Harold Amundson of Aitkin, Minn., Randall of Minneapolis, Minn., and Albert of Trommald, Minn.; one sister Mrs. Julia Happus of Milwaukee, Wis., and two grandchildren. Mr. Amundson was preceded in death by one sister.
