Birth: 1863
Montreal
Quebec, Canada
Death: Apr. 20, 1939
Cass Lake
Cass County
Minnesota, USA
Mrs. Michael Gannon passed away after a brief illness. She had survived a severe attack of flu and was up and around but seemed to suffer a relapse. She lapsed into a coma but shortly before her death she revived and recognized those at her bedside.
She married Michael Gannon on May 28, 1887 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Minneapolis. Four children were born to this union, two sons and two daughters. The children are Kathleen, James, William and Helena, now Sister Dorina, S.C.J. of St. Mary's convent. Leaving Minneapolis the family came to Cass Lake in 1900 and have continued to reside here since.
Mrs. Gannon was devoted to her home and family but found time for much charitable activity, being especially active in church work. For many years she was a member of the Women's Order of Foresters and was instrumental in organizing the Cass Lake lodge of which she was a charter member and served as treasurer for 39 years.
